How I Drowned - PART 1

Most of my life I’ve been surviving underwater.
I never realised I was drowning because I’d learnt how to keep fighting to stay alive.
I had become so accustomed to living in a toxic situation that it became normal for me. I accepted all the emotional manipulation and abuse thrown my way because it was all I’d ever known.
It became normal for my nervous system to always be in fight or flight.
However, for years I had thought because I was doing well in my corporate job, created a podcast, published a book, travelled the world, did lots of inner healing work, and started my own coaching and consulting practice, I was thriving.
I was not.
Because I did all of that whilst feeling broken inside.
When I was at a retreat in 2023 we did an exercise on a whiteboard that revealed a much needed truth for me.
This one realisation shifted my perspective entirely.
