Spark Of A New Flame

Since many of you are new here you may not know that I published a poetry book in 2021 called Searching in Silence.

One of my expressions comes through poetry.

My muse is life itself. All of its wonderful happenings inspire me.

Last year I published my love story part 1 and part 2.

This poem is dedicated to her.

I love poetry because there are no rigid rules. We are free to come alive in and around the words.

I am surrounded by love.

I am love.

We are walking expressions of love.

Love that has contracted and expanded
a thousand times over.

Ice formed from old hurt
melts beneath the warmth of her smile.

Our breath weaves as one.

This story is not just me and you —
but all the lovers
who dared to dance wildly
in the uncommon garden.

I chose to pick the forbidden fruit
and found only ecstasy.

I bravely explore
this unfamiliar frontier,
crossing paths with the unknown
again and again,
as I follow the winding path
of your endless soul.
