Honouring your story
Envy is ignorance; imitation is suicide. You have something unique, original, and great to express. Try to imitate someone else and you kill off that originality which is you. Envy is a lack of appreciation of your own special gifts.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
My birthday is coming up on 30th May and after nearly 31 years on this planet I’ve realised one thing:
I am the asset.
And so are you.
Your soul came here to have a particular experience. You are a spiritual being having a human experience. The human body is a channel for source energy to express itself in a unique way. Your human experience so far is your unique story which contains so much wisdom and insight about life.
All of that experience is what makes you uniquely you.
Taking the time to connect the dots in your story will help you deepen your understanding of who you are and your place in the world.
Our gifts are intimately related to our story. There is no need to accumulate external credentials for a gift your soul already came here prepared for.
Everything I have gone through, including the most traumatic events, were chosen by my soul to cultivate the wisdom I came here to learn and share. As a result, it has made me who I am today. Who I am today is an asset because I have so much to offer myself and the world because of my story.
It’s time to start seeing the value and worth in your own story. Everything you have been through hasn’t been for nothing. It has made you who you are today.
Fully embracing all aspects of your story will bring a sense of wholeness and self-acceptance to your soul. Don’t leave a fraction of yourself unacknowledged. Your whole story is special, especially the parts you think are worthless.
